The Ballerina Project

I couldn't quite motivate to get out to ballet class tonight.  Instead, I browsed through these stunning images from the Ballerina Project.  That's sort of like going to dance class myself, right?

According to Dane Shitagi, the founder of the Ballerina Project: "The New York City Ballerina Project grew from the idea of New York City as a magnet for creativity; each photograph is a collaborative work of dance, fashion design and photography played out against the city's landscape."

I love that the choreography of the city is as much of a star as the ballerina herself.

And that beauty -- and art -- is found in unexpected places . . .

and in surprising combinations.*

I'm so excited because the Ballerina Project has migrated from New York to Boston.  Recognize the street?

Yep, that's where we took our engagement photos.  I should have busted out an attitude en pointe, huh?  Trust me, though, when I say that our "casual" stroll was about the closest thing to a choreographed pas de deux as we could manage.

* How is it that the dog has better turnout than I do?
